“We can’t control what’s happening. But we can choose how we respond to it.”
— Dr. Edith Eva Eger
I often work with clients navigating OCD, anxiety, stress, perfectionism, relationship
concerns, life transitions, and self-esteem. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling
exhausted by their own thoughts, stuck in cycles of intrusive thoughts, overthinking,
uncertainty, fear, or pressure to “get it right.” Therapy can be a space to slow down,
better understand what is happening beneath the surface, and learn how to respond to
difficult thoughts and emotions in a different way.
When working with OCD, I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help
clients understand their obsessive-compulsive cycles, build tolerance for uncertainty
and discomfort, and practice reducing compulsive behaviors over time. I also
incorporate insight-oriented and psychodynamic approaches to help clients explore the
deeper patterns, relationships, emotions, and life experiences that may be shaping how
they see themselves and move through the world. Depending on each client’s needs, I
may also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT), humanistic therapy, experiential approaches, strengths-based care, and
elements of art and play therapy. My work is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to the
needs of each client.
I believe therapy is not about forcing yourself to be positive or pretending things do not
hurt. It is about making space for the full range of your experience and creating more
room for choice, connection, and growth.
