About Tim Wilkins
Tim Wilkins, PhD, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Identity Counseling Psychology, PLLC in Ann Arbor, MI. Tim Wilkins received his Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Michigan, a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University. Tim is passionate about helping people identify and explore what is holding them back and desires to assist them on their journey toward achieving their goals. In therapy, Tim tailors his counseling style based on the client’s needs. Tim works from Existential, Cognitive-Behavioral, Emotionally Focused, and Psychodynamic theoretical frameworks.
Tim believes it is important to focus on meaning in the context of one’s life, as well as how people are affected physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually by their struggles. Tim sees value in exploring with his clients the mind-body interaction. This includes identifying where emotions may be stuck in the body and working methods to release them in a healthy way. Tim offers both in-person counseling and online counseling.
