Counseling with Elisabeth Pixley-Fink, LLMSW

PRONOUNS: SHE/HER/HERS
My practice is grounded in attachment theory and is emotionally focused. I often work with adolescents, emerging adults, and LGBTQ+ clients. I use an empowerment and embodiment lens to uncover the impact of social identities, and support clients in listening to their inner wisdom. I work with clients dealing with anxiety and depression, gender dysphoria, and complex trauma. Together, we navigate issues including grief/loss, sexuality and gender, and relationships to reconnect with joy, dreams and goals.

About Elisabeth Pixley-Fink

MSW from University of Michigan, BA in Political Science from Smith College

I am passionate in supporting clients to build self-esteem and create healthy relationships with self and others, starting with connection to their own bodies. My work incorporates trauma-informed and body-based modalities, and is guided by my background as a facilitator, educator, and musician. I use somatic resourcing, mindfulness and body awareness to help clients develop self-knowledge of how emotions show up physiologically.

I have a background as a singer-songwriter and creative empowerment facilitator and I am trained as a Montessori elementary educator. I have experience in healing-centered arts practice to promote growth, holistic wellbeing and creative unblocking. I find that music and creative expression can make therapy more accessible and can help clients deepen their connection with their bodies and lived experiences.
